FAQs.

The magic bullet® Kitchen Express is a convertible single-serve blender and food processor, while the magic bullet® Kitchen Prep is solely a food processor configuration.
A food processor is able to dice, slice, and shred foods while blenders are designed to pulverize them. A food processor can mince onions and garlic, for example, while a blender is meant to make smoothies or pureed sauces.
It really depends on what you’re making! For salad dressings or creamy dips like hummus, a blender and food processor may be used interchangeably. But if your goal is to shred ingredients like zucchini or carrots, or chop foods like cabbage or cucumber, you’ll want to use a food processor.
Generally, food processors have less powerful motors than blenders. While food processors are great for chopping, slicing, and dicing firmer ingredients, and pureeing soft ingredients like beans, they’re not really built for pulverizing or grinding tough ingredients. For nut butters, milk alternatives, or super-creamy smoothies, blenders work best.
All components are top-rack dishwasher-safe, except for the motor base, which should be carefully wiped down by hand. Never submerge the motor base in water.
You can chop vegetables, fruits, nuts, raw meat, and more in the food processor work bowl. Just make sure you have removed any rind, seeds, or pits from fruit and bones from meat prior to adding to the bowl.
Pulse allows you to have more control when blending or chopping ingredients. Unlike the standard “On” mode, which runs the motor continuously, the “Pulse” feature only powers the motor when the knob is twisted and held in the Pulse setting, and automatically stops as soon as the knob is released. This allows you to process your mixture in short bursts, which is helpful for certain recipes.
